PERSONAL STATEMENT

Since a very young age, I have used photography as a way to explore and interact with the world around me. I grew up in a military family and we were always on the move. Photography became my way of relating to that constant change. So, ever since I started making photographs, they revolved around the idea of place, whether it is natural or manmade. The places I photograph are all important, or intriguing, or significant to me in one-way or another, but they may not necessarily have much significance beyond that. You can find details about my motivations related to each collection of images on the About page for each collection. Follow these links: This Land is Your Land, Combined Alterations, Sustain.
